Slack Technologies said its office messaging service was struck by an outage on Monday, interrupting distant work as individuals returned from the holidays.
The company said it was exploring the link issues affecting users and could continue to share updates every 30 minutes before the episode has been downgraded.
More than 15,000 users had initially reported issues, according to outage monitoring website Downdectector. Currently over 4,000 consumers are still confronting issues.
Downdetector only monitors outages by collating status reports by a series of sources, including user-submitted mistakes on its platform. The outage might be affecting a larger number of Slack users.
The messaging app has included over 20,000 paid customers in the previous two quarters, bringing its total amount of paid customers to more than 142,000.
