The ‘Monthly Travel’ page is perhaps the quickest worksheet to put together and simply outlines how the business performs on a monthly basis, taking into account the various costs and revenue models included.
Think of it as a monthly breakdown of the ‘Results Page’, enabling you to see how the business trends during the year. This is especially important for subscription-businesses, where annual subscription sales have to be broken down and recognised on a monthly basis.
Additionally, this page enables you to see if anything odd crops up during the building process. It is great as a sanity checker. Along with the data, I believe it is wise to include a monthly line chart outlining important key numbers such as revenue, OPEX and EBIT this it helps to visualise the forecast performance of the business.
The attributes for this page are slightly different and roll out across the page from month one through to month 60 for a 5-year model.
